Bruno Mars Revealed That He Is Willing to Give up His Career Just to Be With His Pinay Mother Once Again!
Despite his full-on American accent and way of talking, pop singer Bruno Mars was actually born half-Filipino. His mother, Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, was a Filipina who migrated to Hawaii from the Philippines as a child.
Meanwhile, his father was Peter Gene Hernandez, who has Puerto Rican blood. Viral4Real cited that he grew up in a very musical family as his father was a Latin percussionist while his mother was a singer.
He immediately grew to fame after he released the radio-friendly single ‘Just the Way You Are’ in 2010 and followed it up with more romantic songs like ‘Marry You,’ ‘Count On Me,’ and ‘Grenade.’
On August 22, 2016, the pop singer revealed a very touching post about his mother on his own Instagram account. He captioned it with, “Happy Birthday Ma. I Love and miss you so much.”
It received 327,065 likes as of this writing and around a thousand or so comments. Fans of Bruno were able to express their appreciation to his touching post. In fact, some netizens commented:
jdfelicitas: “Your mum was maganda That’s where you get the good looks from”

Bruno’s mom died due to a brain aneurysm. People reported that he admitted his life had changed after that event.
He said in an interview, “My life has changed. She’s more than my music. If I could trade music to have her back, I would. I always hear her say, ‘Keep going and keep doing it.’”
Apart from that, the source also cited that his mother has taught him to “love.” He said, “You just gotta know that she’s with me everywhere I go.”
“It’s something that you can’t imagine – the pain and the things that you keep going back to: ‘I wish I would’ve done this or said this.’ You just have to see life differently. It shows you the real importance of life. Nothing else matters in this world but family and your loved ones.”
Are you close to your mom as well? Were you touched by Bruno’s post and what he said about her?
